For those who are in the 'know' you will have woken up (some time ago) to the potential of Spain's classiest white wine, Albarino. I go weak at the knees at its massive acidity married to a full, rich, lemony, peachy, apricoty, nutty body. This is without doubt where its at with Iberian white. Yet it's not cheap...it's not uber-expensive either. But penny-for-penny I think I squares up to any white, any time, anywhere. Its the Rocky Balboa of whites: fleet of foot, rapier quick, but packs a mighty punch. Drink this and you'll be seeing stars in no time. |
